The Denver Broncos officially named quarterback Bo Nix their starter after he beat out Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson. Nix spent five years as a collegiate starter before being selected 12th overall in this year’s draft. Now, he will try to make his mark as one of the 2024 Fantasy football breakouts. His wealth of college experience could give him an advantage over other 2024 Fantasy football rookie quarterbacks, especially since his short-field accuracy makes him a strong fit in Sean Payton’s scheme. Is he someone you should target in the 2024 Fantasy football rankings? Coaches are naming starters at multiple positions, an important factor to track when crafting your 2024 Fantasy football strategy. There could be starters available late in drafts as 2024 Fantasy football sleepers.

Top 2024 Fantasy football picks

The Fantasy football draft bible features 2024 Fantasy football breakouts, including:

Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets: Wilson was able to overcome mediocre quarterback play last season, hauling in 95 receptions for 1,042 yards on 168 targets. His quarterback situation is going to improve this year, as veteran Aaron Rodgers returns from his season-ending injury. Wilson commanded a league-high 46% air yards share last season, so he has an extremely high Fantasy ceiling.

“Wilson is already a fringe first-rounder despite averaging only about 12.2 PPR points in each of his first two seasons, as the thought is that he’ll be in the top tier once he gets quality quarterback play,” White told SportsLine. “Maybe that comes from Aaron Rodgers, or maybe Tyrod Taylor can do the job if Rodgers can’t stay healthy, but either should be an improvement on what Wilson dealt with last year.”

Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers: Watson missed the first three weeks of the 2023 season due to a hamstring injury, and he was unable to consistently produce for his Fantasy managers because the injury continued to bother him. However, his high ceiling was evident on several occasions, including his final three games of the regular season when he scored four total touchdowns. He posted fringe Fantasy WR1 numbers during his rookie season, so a healthy season could be all he needs to realize his potential.

“Hamstring injuries have plagued him over his first two seasons, but he looked like he was really starting to click with Jordan Love in his final two games last year with 12 catches for 165 yards and three TDs,” White said. “Green Bay could remain a whack-a-mole of standout Fantasy performers each week, but the one guy with the potential to turn into a WR1 is Watson, and we only need him to be top 20 to cash in on his breakout status.” Get the full Fantasy football draft guide over at SportsLine.
