On Wednesday, three-star offensive lineman Gavin Crawford committed to the West Virginia Mountaineers to play under Head Coach Neal Brown.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman also fielded offers from Duke, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, UCLA, and Tennessee, according to 247Sports, before choosing to come to Morgantown.

Crawford played high school football at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney, Maryland.

Eidan Buchanan, a 2025 recruit who committed to West Virginia also attended the same high school as Crawford.

Brown added the two recruits to his Class of 2025 prospects including wide receiver Tyshawn Dues, quarterback Scotty Fox, offensive guard Thomas Barr, cornerback Zah Jackson, and tight end Jackson Accuardi, according to Rivals.

The Mountaineers shocked the college football world last season, capping off a 9-4 season with a Duke’s Mayo Bowl victory over North Carolina.

As a result, WVU extended Brown through the 2027 season, and with starting quarterback Garrett Greene being recognized as one of the best returning quarterbacks in the Big 12, the future is bright in Morgantown.

West Virginia opens up the 2024 season by hosting Penn State on Aug. 31. The Mountaineers will be looking for revenge after losing 38-15 in the season opener at State College last year.
