Tom Brady appeared on the Fox Sports booth for the first time after signing a lucrative 10-year, $375million contract to become the network’s lead NFL analyst starting this fall.

On Sunday, the legendary quarterback stopped by and joined Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt on Fox’s airing of the United Football League Championship.

Brady will have his first NFL shift when the Cleveland Browns host the Dallas Cowboys on September 8. Although he did not get reps as an announcer and analyst yet, Brady looked comfortable in his new setting after trading the helmet for the headset.

Brady is in St. Louis Sunday night to present the trophy to the most valuable player of the UFL championship game between the San Antonio Brahmas and Birmingham Stallions.

Nevertheless, Brady gave some insights about the offense played by both teams on the field during his pit stop in the broadcast booth.

‘They’re all a little different,’ Brady said. ‘You get into these games, and there’s a lot of defense out there right now. You see defense going out there, playing with a lot of energy.’

‘But someone’s gotta get the ball down the field and open this field up a little bit,’ he continued. ‘There’s a lot of horizontal passes, and the defense is swarming and trying to punch the ball out.’

‘So make them defend every blade of grass,’ Brady added.

Brady’s teaser came just four days after he got inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame. In the same ceremony, team owner Robert Kraft revealed that his iconic jersey number (12) has been retired, and a 12-foot bronze statue will be built in his honor outside Gillette Stadium.

As the seven-time Super Bowl champion (six with the Patriots) sat teary-eyed, Kraft noted that Brady’s number is the first to be retired since Bruce Armstrong in 2001.

The Patriots opted to celebrate Brady on June 12 to honor his jersey number and the number of rings he won with the franchise.

Brady tallied 614 touchdown passes in the regular season and playoffs while collecting 219 victories in 20 seasons with the Patriots.

He parted ways with New England to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he played for three seasons and won another ring before retiring.

After his initial retirement in 2022, Brady quickly retracted his farewell to return for a third season with the Bucs. After the 2022-2023 season, Brady announced on social media that he was retiring ‘for good.’

In addition to his highly-anticipated broadcast career, Brady ventured into being a franchise owner after his days as a player ended.

Brady owns stakes in the Las Vegas Aces, Birmingham City FC in the EFL, and Las Vegas Night Owls in Major League Pickleball. He is also bidding to be a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
