Jose Mourinho could be about to lose one of his key players at Fenerbahce just two games into the new Turkish Super Lig season.
Mourinho has signed ten new players since taking the Fener job, including Youssef En-Nesyri and Allan Saint-Maximin.
But one of his most important stars wants to move on and realise his dream of playing in the Premier League.
Left-back Ferdi Kadioglu’s stock increased after some impressive displays for Turkey at Euro 2024 and he has been heavily linked with a move to Brighton this summer.
He is a top target for the Seagulls and Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has shared an update on the situation.
Kadioglu still wants to join Brighton, who are in constant communication with his agent and working tirelessly to get the deal done.
The 24-year-old is hopeful that Fenerbahce will accept the latest bid tabled by Brighton.

President Ali Koc had been adamant that the player was not for sale but Fotospor says he has now granted permission to leave following the team’s surprise exit from the Champions League.
Brighton’s offer was reportedly around €35 million, which would be a record fee for a departure from the Turkish Super Lig should a deal be completed.
Born in the Netherlands, Kadioglu played 70 times for NEC before joining Fenerbahce in 2018.
He has racked up over 200 appearances for the Istanbul giants, including playing 51 times in all competitions last season.

He would be Brighton’s sixth signing of what has been a hefty summer spree under new boss Fabian Hurzeler.
Manchester United have also been linked with Kadioglu as they look to resolve their issues at left-back.
Sergio Reguilon, who did deputise for United in a loan for the first half of last season, has been mentioned as a potential Kadioglu replacement at Fenerbahce.
The two worked together at Spurs.
