The Arlington Renegades made another addition to their backfield on Wednesday. RB Ike Irabor out of Union has signed with the team, as an underrated prospect from a smaller school who’s got a tremendous resume so far.

Ike played the entirety of his college ball at Union. As a freshman, he posted 798 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, immediately putting himself on the map as a playmaker. His next season would see even more production, with 1,231 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Irabor would finish his career at Union with 3,626 rushing yards and 47 touchdowns – earning plenty of awards along the way. He made an impact coming out of the backfield as well, catching 57 passes for 458 yards and four scores.

Some of Irabor’s top accomplishments include earning All-ECAC First Team honors in 2019. Additionally, he was Preseason All-American First Team in 2021, and All-Liberty League First Team every single year at Union.

This earned Ike some NFL interest, getting Mini-Camp opportunities with the Giants and Buccaneers. He also participated in a GRID Camps event back in February.

Now, Ike Irabor will look to kick start his professional career in the UFL, with the Arlington Renegades. General Manager Rick Mueller may have found a hidden gem in Irabor – an under the radar prospect with an outstanding background so far.
