Angel Reese has teamed up with none other than NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal for a lighthearted TikTok video. The two appeared together on the set of Reese’s podcast, “Unapologetically Angel,” where they joined in on a trending dance challenge.
Shaq didn’t hesitate to get in on the fun. The former NBA star matched Reese’s energy perfectly as they performed the “In da clurb, we all fam” trend.
This isn’t Reese’s first time participating in the viral trend. She had previously teamed up with rapper GloRilla to dance along to the same challenge, proving her ability to blend sports and pop culture seamlessly.
O’Neal’s support for Reese
O’Neal has been a longtime supporter of Angel Reese‘s career. Recognizing her talent early on, he has offered her mentorship and even helped raise her profile by involving her with Reebok, where he serves as president of basketball. Their connection has grown beyond just professional ties, forming a personal bond as well.
After the 2024 WNBA Draft, Shaq shared his thoughts with People, expressing admiration for Reese’s journey and acknowledging the pressures she faces.
Drawing parallels between her experiences and his own, he said he felt he could offer valuable guidance. Shaq noted that Reese’s age aligns closely with that of his own children, which has helped him connect with her on a deeper level.
“I am described as Angel’s understandable ear,” O’Neal said. “I know things that she went through, I know what she’s going through, I know what’s about to happen to her and I could give her advice.”
“She’s the same age as my children, so I only want the best for her. And when you have daughters, you know how to use that calm voice…the first thing I told her is I was proud of her.”
