Leandro Trossard’s corner technique for Arsenal against Shakhtar Donetsk has caught the eye.

Arsenal fans have spotted something incredible eerie about Leandro Trossard’s corner technique against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Gunners claimed a 1-0 win over the Ukrainian outfit thanks to an unfortunate own goal from goalkeeper Dmytro Rizynk after a 26th minute strike from Gabriel Martinelli hit the post.

It ended up being a rather nervy win for the Arsenal, though Trossard should have made it more comfortable in the second half when the hosts were given a penalty for handball.

The Belgian saw his effort saved by Rizynk in the 77th minute but thankfully for Arsenal they held on for the victory.

But despite Trossard’s miss, he did impress fans with something he did just five minutes into the clash.

Although he is traditionally right-footed, the former Brighton man took a corner with his supposedly weaker left foot.

Trossard whipped in a teasing inswinger that nearly resulted in a goal, showing off a remarkable ambidextrous ability.

For Arsenal supporters it evoked memories of former captain Santi Cazorla, who was also incredibly two-footed and wore the No.19.

Cazorla took free-kicks and corners with either foot with absolute ease – and there was one instance where teammate Laurent Koscielny instructed him to change foot.

One commented: “Always said Trossard reminds me of Santi Cazorla and now he’s taking corners with his weak foot? He took the comparison to another level.”

A second added: “Trossard pulling a Santi Cazorla and using his weaker foot on a corner.”

A third wrote:Trossard taking an inswinging corner with his left foot. Haven’t seen that since Santi Cazorla.”

Another said: “Trossard taking corners with his weaker left foot: A throwback to a Cazola! I got time for that!”

A final person posted: “Leandro Trossard with left-footed corners. Santi Cazorla, is that you?”

Arsenal are back in action on Sunday when they host Liverpool in a huge clash at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta looks set to be without a number of key players and now Riccardo Calafiori appears to be sidelined for a period after going off with a serious knee injury against Shakhtar.
