Angel Reese And CashApp Team Up To Give Back To Fans – WBLS

Angel Reese, WNBA All-Star and advocate for women’s sports, has teamed up with Cash App to empower her fans and community. This new partnership includes giveaways, financial literacy initiatives, and support for women’s sports at large. Cash App’s latest venture, its first with a professional women’s basketball player, will use Reese’s platform to inspire and uplift her followers.

“I’m grateful to partner with Cash App, a brand that is committed to supporting my efforts in driving impact on and off the court,” said Reese in a statement. Reese, known for her bold presence in the WNBA and her advocacy for women’s empowerment, is determined to use her influence to make a lasting difference. Her foundation, the Angel C. Reese Foundation, is centered on empowering young girls and future generations through sports and community engagement.

A Community-Driven Partnership Between Reese and Cashapp

One of the most exciting elements of the partnership is “The Angel Machine,” located in Fulton Market, Chicago. Fans have the chance to win exclusive prizes, including Reese’s crown, her college jersey, and sneakers, by playing an interactive game. This activation ran from noon to 7:00 p.m. CT on October 21, 2024, and is part of a broader effort to engage with Reese’s growing fanbase.

In addition to fan engagement, the partnership will extend to community projects. “I’m thrilled that as part of this overall partnership, we will collaborate with Cash App to renovate a basketball court in Baton Rouge, a place and community that means so much to me personally,” Reese shared. The renovated court will be celebrated with a public block party this December.

Beyond the giveaways, Cash App and Reese are also teaming up to support financial literacy. Reese will lead Cash App’s “That’s Money” campaign later this year. Additionally, Cash App customers can design limited-edition Angel Reese debit cards and receive discounts on her official merchandise.

Catherine Ferdon, Cash App’s CMO, praised the partnership, stating, “Angel Reese is redefining what it means to be a game-changer, authentically pushing the boundaries between sport and culture.” Together, they hope to inspire future generations while creating unforgettable experiences for Reese’s fans.
