Angel Reese's interaction with Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones earns love from fans

All eyes were on the New York Liberty on October 20 as they won their first ever WNBA title and that includes Angel Reese, who was quick on hand with her camera to take some memorable photos that the fans loved.

The Liberty managed to defeat the Minnesota Lynx in Game 5 on Sunday to claim the 3-2 series win and to get their hands on the trophy after so much pain in the WNBA Finals throughout the past.

So the date with destiny caught a lot of eyes, including from the 22-year-old Chicago Sky star, who was courtside as she celebrated the win with the stars of the show, Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones.

The Unapologetically Angel podcast host snapped herself in a half-and-half Liberty/Lynx jersey and caught a photo with Jones as she beamed the brightest smile of the night with her Michael Jordan headband.

Whilst Stewart looked a little over come with emotions and slightly out of it in the photo Reese took of the pair, as she uploaded the trio to Instagram after the contest as fan poured in their love.

One fan wrote via X.com, formerly Twitter, “That’s right!! Get those pics!!”

A second added, “courtside barbie.”

And a third wrote, “That two team jersey came in handy.”

Jones claims MVP Finals award

Coming into the contest, Jones was an outside shot to win the WNBA Finals MVP. After Game 1, despite posting 24 points and 10 rebounds, the power forward for the Liberty was fifth most likely to claim the prize and odds were offered at +1000 on her.

Yet she beat those odds to claim the WNBA Finals MVP award after averaging 17.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game throughout the season as the Liberty won the championship for the first ever time.

Jones, who is a five-time All-Star, previously won the WNBA MVP award (now held by A’ja Wilson) in 2021 as she sustains her talent throughout the seasons since being picked sixth overall in the 2016 draft.
