'EA Sports College Football 25' unveils its top 25 offenses ranking

EA Sports continued their rankings week showcase on “EA Sports College Football 25” on Thursday, revealing their top 25-rated offenses and defenses in the game.

The rankings release follows their first rankings reveal of the game on Tuesday when they unveiled their top 25 toughest places to play in for the game.

Of course, knowing college football fans, not everyone was happy with the selections. It felt like the first time the game really received much criticism, which, hey, is a pretty good indication that the game is going to play really well. I’d rather see fans arguing that Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium is too high rather than calling out boring looking gameplay.

If you thought there was a lot of pushback for the stadium rankings, things took an even bigger turn on Thursday starting with the team offensive ratings. Truthfully, the outrage regarding this top 25 is a lot more valid than the stadium atmosphere ratings. I think that list could be tweaked, but I can understand their logic. It is pretty difficult explaining some of the ratings on offense, with some not so great offenses such as Clemson and Colorado getting extremely high ratings.

We’ll have to see what the full roster ratings look like when that is released, but there are some puzzling decisions here to say the least. EA has said the rosters will be updated throughout the season, and the rosters will be pretty unrecognizable just a year or two down the line in Dynasty Mode. We need things to argue about in sports, though!

Putting critical opinions aside, here are where the Big Ten programs ended up in the top 25 offenses ranking in “EA Sports College Football 25.”

SOMEHOW the Hawkeyes did not manage to crack the top 25. Not really sure what’s going on with the devs at EA…
