Elon Musk presented a $1 million check to a random audience member of his town hall event in Pennsylvania Saturday night.

“Elon Musk announces that he will be randomly awarding $1 MILLION every day from now until Election Day to registered Pennsylvania voters who sign America PAC’s petition and surprised a member of the audience as the first winner,” America PAC wrote.

“I have a surprise for you. We’re going to be awarding a million dollars randomly to people who have signed the petition, everyday from now until the election,” Musk said.

“How do we get people to know about this petition? Because the legacy media is not willing to report on it. Not everyone’s on X. So I figure, how do we get people to know about it? Well this news, I think, is going to really fly,” he continued.

Musk announced the first winner tonight.

WHP reports:

The winner at the Harrisburg town hall was John Dreher, who described himself as a “big fan” of Musk.

After awarding Dreher, he said all that he asks is that Dreher continues to be a spokesperson for the petition.

Dreher congratulated Musk on his recent SpaceX rocket catch, thanked him, and said he’s been following him for years.

“I got your autobiography ten years ago and I’ve been following you ever since,” said Dreher to Musk. “Big fan.”

It comes just days after he began offering $100 to those signing the petition in announcement made on his platform X.

“If you’re a registered Pennsylvania voter, you & whoever referred you will now get $100 for signing our petition in support of free speech & right to bear arms. Earn money for supporting something you already believe in! Offer valid until midnight on Monday,” Musk said.

Musk’s America PAC initially offered $47 for every registered voter in seven battleground states who referred other registered voters to sign the petition supporting the First and Second Amendments.

“The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments,” the petition reads.

“In appreciation for your support, you will receive $47 for each registered voter you refer that signs this petition,” it continues.

“Our goal is to get 1 million registered voters in swing states to sign in support of the Constitution, especially freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. This program is exclusively open to registered voters in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina. Expires October 21,” it adds.

It now includes the special offer for Pennsylvania registered voters.

“Sign this petition and get $100. Refer a petition signer and get $100,” it reads.

“Offer valid from time of posting through 11:59 PM on 10/21. New signers only. $100 replaces standard $47 offer (not in addition to it) To be eligible, both the referrer and the petition signer must be registered voters of Pennsylvania,” it adds.

Per Reuters:

Musk started America PAC, a political action organization he founded in support of Trump’s presidential campaign. The group is helping mobilize and register voters in battleground states, but there are signs it is having trouble meeting its goals.

The Harrisburg event is the third in as many days in Pennsylvania, where Musk is painting November’s election in stark terms and encouraging supporters to vote early and get others to do the same.

He said on Saturday that if Harris wins, it will be “the last election,” suggesting the U.S. will no longer exist.
