Fantasy football 2024 rankings: Model’s best NFL Week 7 QB, WR, RB, TE, kicker, defense picks

Week 7 Fantasy football lineups could look more robust than the last few weeks. Not only are just two teams on a bye, but stars such as Nick Chubb, Cooper Kupp and T.J. Hockenson could return to action. That could lead to several difficult Week 7 Fantasy football start-sit decisions, with players returning from injury weighed against those who’ve been regulars in lineups thus far. Then, your Week 7 Fantasy football strategy also has to account for recent trades such as Davante Adams to the Jets and Amari Cooper to the Bills.

While Adams and Cooper are considered starters no matter which team they play for, you also have to think about the teams they left and the voids they have to fill. Should players like Brock Bowers and Jerry Jeudy get bumps up the Week 7 Fantasy football rankings with more opportunities in front of them? Before setting your Fantasy football lineups, be sure to check out the Week 7 Fantasy football rankings from the proven computer model at SportsLine, and use promo code “BLOOM” for a free seven-day trial.

Brown, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, and Jahmyr Gibbs. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

Top Week 7 Fantasy football QB rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top Week 7 Fantasy football QB picks:

1. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders: Daniels has been sensational for Fantasy owners in his rookie campaign. He’s scored at least 20 Fantasy points in five of his first six games, and he’s topped 25 in three of those. On Sunday, Daniels and the Commanders take on the Carolina Panthers, a defense giving up 33.8 points per game, which ranks dead-last in the NFL.

2. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: Allen has yet to throw an interception this season and he’s coming off another strong showing in Buffalo’s victory over the Jets. Allen completed 19 of 25 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 18 yards and another score against New York. Allen is averaging 5.1 yards per carry this season and he’s thrown six of his 10 touchdown passes on home soil.

3. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens: Jackson completed 20 of 26 passes for 323 yards and a touchdown with one interception in Sunday’s 30-23 win over the Commanders. He added 40 rushing yards on 11 carries. Jackson has now posted back-to-back games with more than 300 passing yards. For the season, the reigning MVP has put together a 10:2 TD:INT ratio through six games while also chipping in two rushing touchdowns. See more top QBs here.

Top Week 7 Fantasy football RB rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top Week 7 Fantasy football RB picks:

1. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: Barkley spent the first six years of his career with the Giants and left on less-than-pleasant terms after New York franchise-tagged him one year and then failed to meet his salary demands the next. He’s piled up 574 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns in his first five games with the Eagles and now he’ll get his first chance to go head-to-head with his former team.

2. J.K. Dobbins, Los Angeles Chargers: After four injury-plagued seasons in Baltimore, Dobbins is finally healthy again and the Chargers have reaped the benefits. He’s rushed for 438 yards and three touchdowns in five games with Los Angeles and matches up in Week 7 against the Cardinals’ 29th-ranked run defense.

3. Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens: Henry looked like the tank might be running low late in his time with the Titans but Todd Monken’s offense in Baltimore has clearly reenergized the future Hall of Famer. He leads the NFL in carries (119), rushing yards (702), rushing touchdowns (8) and yards per game (117.3). See more top RBs here.

Top Week 7 Fantasy football WR rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top Week 7 Fantasy football WR picks:

1. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings: Jefferson saw his five-game touchdown streak come to an end last game, but he also saw 14 targets, which was his most since 2022. He ranks sixth in the NFL in both receiving yards (450) and receiving touchdowns (four), ahead of a matchup versus Detroit, who he’s averaged 134.1 yards against in 10 eight career games.

2. Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers: The second-year wideout currently ranks third amongst receivers in Fantasy points and has at least 78 yards or a touchdown in every game Jordan Love has started. Awaiting in Week 7 is a Texans defense that has allowed 10 passing touchdowns over its last 11 overall touchdowns given up.

3. Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders: After a slow start, McLaurin has racked up the second-most Fantasy points at the position since Week 3. With that, he’s a must-start against Carolina’s defense, which ranks last in points allowed and is fourth-worst in yards allowed. See more top WRs here.

Top Week 7 Fantasy football TE rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top Week 7 Fantasy football TE picks:

1. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers: Kittle has had at least four catches for 40 yards in every game that he’s played and he’s on a four-game scoring streak where he’s scored a total of five touchdowns. At a position where upside is limited, Kittle’s reliability is deeply appreciated.

2. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes made it a point of emphasis to get his young wide receivers the ball early in the season but with injuries mounting at the position, he’s turned to his most reliable option the last two weeks. Kelce has been targeted 19 times and has 16 catches for 159 yards. San Francisco has given up a touchdown to a tight end in two of the last three weeks.

3. T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings: Hockenson (knee) hasn’t played yet this season but he practiced on Monday and is trending towards a Week 7 return. He had 95 catches for 960 yards (both career-highs) in 2023 while also catching five touchdown passes and he’ll be a big part of the Minnesota offense whenever he returns. See more top TEs here.

Top Week 7 Fantasy football defense rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three Week 7 Fantasy football D/ST picks:

1. Bills D/ST: After grinding out a win over the Jets to move to 4-2, the Bills take on the Titans in Week 7. Tennessee ranks 31st in the NFL in both total offense and turnovers, and Sean McDermott’s defense should be ready to pounce on an inevitable Will Levis mistake.

2. Steelers D/ST: The Pittsburgh defense features playmakers at every level and T.J. Watt is now the favorite to win NFL Defensive Player of the Year now that Aidan Hutchinson is out for the season. They’ll match up with the Jets on Sunday Night Football in Week 7 and shouldn’t be caught off guard now that there is a week of tape on new offensive coordinator Todd Downing’s playcalling style.

3. Giants D/ST: The offense is still a bit of a train wreck, especially without Malik Nabers, but the defense is top 10 in points allowed and yards allowed. The Giants lead the league with 26 sacks as a team and Dexter Lawrence has already reached 7.0 sacks on the season and is only one off a career-high. See more top D/ST here.
