Kelsey Mitchell has been on fire in recent weeks, averaging a league-high 25.6 points per game since the break, and 18.4 for the season. Lexie Hull has emerged, hitting 14-of-20 3-pointers in that period to accompany her familiar scrappy defense.
No. 1 overall draft pick Caitlin Clark has two WNBA rookie records already this season (assists, 3-pointers) and averages 18 points per game. Aliyah Boston and NaLyssa Smith are contributing in the post.
Sky (11-19) have lost four straight games, though the last three were by 2, 2 and 4 points. Chennedy Carter leads Chicago (17.2 points), but she missed Wednesday’s game due to health and safety protocols. Rookie Angel Reese averages 13.5 points and a league-leading 12.9 rebounds. Kamilla Cardoso adds 9.0 points and 7.9 rebounds.
