Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks put on an absolute recruiting clinic on Sunday, adding four prospects to the Jayhawks’ Class of 2025.
The fourth addition was an incredible recruiting win for Kansas with 2025 three-star linebacker Kenyon Rivera heading to Lawrence.
An impressive player in his class, Rivera chose the Jayhawks over offers from 26 different programs, including Texas, Michigan, Kansas State, UCF, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Louisville, and more.
Coming out of Buford High School in the Class of 2025, Rivera is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 637th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 69th-ranked player at his position and the 71st-ranked player in the state of Georgia.
Rivera posted 36 total tackles, two tackles for loss, three sacks, and two forced fumbles during his junior campaign. In addition to his impressive numbers, the Georgia native was named the linebacker MVP at the Under Armor Next camp in Atlanta.
With his commitment, Rivera became the Jayhawks’ 10th overall addition to the Class of 2025 and the fourth player to commit on Sunday, following three-star EDGE Adrian Holley, three-star EDGE Garrett Martin, and 2025 safety Brandon Schmelzle.
Kansas football kicks off the 2024 season on Thursday, August 29th, against Lindenwood.
