King Charles III forced to leave event due to health problems amid chemotherapy treatment

Despite his delicate health situation, King Charles III has not let it stop him from accompanying Queen Camilla on their trip to Australia.

Although the British monarch has strict health protocols, including having two doctors by his side 24 hours a day in case of any emergency, he has decided to temporarily “pause” his chemotherapy treatment.

This decision goes against medical recommendations.

Still, King Charles III made it to Australia, but within the first few hours of his arrival, he experienced a slight health scare.

The monarch attended the State Lunch alongside Camilla but had to leave early as he was feeling quite fatigued.

Although concerns over the British king’s health have not heightened, his medical team has been alerted to the situation.

Why Charles III Had to Leave the Event Early

Journalist Concha Calleja revealed more details about what happened during the lunch in Australia on the Spanish program ‘Fiesta’.

“He left just ten minutes into the State Lunch, where he was expected to stay much longer because they were serving him some of the most typical dishes from the area. He gave a gift of an hourglass and said, ‘This is to remind you that time is very, very, very short,'” Calleja shared during the broadcast.

Additionally, the royal correspondent believes that this trip has sparked debate in the United Kingdom, as the king’s medical team was not in full agreement with his decision to travel.

“Medically speaking, this trip was highly questionable. He arrived on Friday, had to rest the entire day on Saturday because he was extremely fatigued,”Calleja continued.

“This morning, he attended a religious service and then the lunch, but he couldn’t continue through the meal.”

Calleja also disclosed details about the medical treatment Charles III is currently undergoing and why doctors were unable to prevent him from making the trip.

“He is undergoing a hospital-based treatment once a week. Of course, he couldn’t continue the treatment while traveling,” Calleja stated.

“Despite being advised against it, he refused to cancel the trip. If there was even the slightest chance they could have stopped him, they would have done so.”
