This is regarding the changes to the print edition of LNP | LancasterOnline. What a disappointing message to your community and your readers, as well as a precursor to what looks like a sad end.
As a reader of multiple newspapers, I will probably not miss important national and international news, but many readers do not have the ability to access those other news sources.
The inability of some of your readers, young and old, to be exposed to outside news and happenings will hinder their knowledge. The loss of the newspaperâs Opinion pages â with columns featuring both conservative and progressive viewpoints â five days per week will put readers at a disadvantage, making it harder for them to consider other sides of issues.
In todayâs world, we have a lot of âbigâ things to think about, and we should be able to evaluate them from all sides, not via a myopic lens.
The Steinman family thought it was vital to expose Lancaster County residents to the news, and I doubt their hearts are thrilled with this sad turn.
