Right-wing accounts on social media are praising CNN moderators for their “non-partisan” role in Thursday evening’s debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash moderated last night’s debate where Trump and Biden faced off. Both anchors have been praised for providing unbiased coverage despite the personal jabs and insults thrown by the two candidates toward each other.
X, formerly Twitter, owner Elon Musk shared his own views on Friday afternoon, noting that the questions CNN prepared for the debate showed “no favoritism” and “were reasonable.”
“Have to say that @CNN did a good job managing the debate. Questions were reasonable and non-partisan. No favoritism was shown to either candidate,” Musk wrote in a post on X. “This is what the public wants from the media.”

Charlie Kirk, the leader of the pro-Trump college conservative organization Turning Point USA, sent out his post praises CNN because “they didn’t make it about them.”
“Never thought I’d say this, but CNN was pretty fair. They didn’t make it about them. It was all about Biden. That might be because they’ve been dispatched to help push him out, or they simply realized there’s no hiding what just happened,” Kirk claimed.

Other right-wing accounts on X also praised the network and anchors for the debate, including GOP political strategist Shermichael Singleton and Republican operative Matt Gorman.
Worth noting: CNN did a very good job last night. From @jaketapper and @DanaBashCNN on down.
The fact they’re not the story is the highest compliment of all.

Congratulations to my @cnn colleagues @jaketapper and @DanaBashCNN. They’re doing an outstanding job moderating this debate. They’ve been fair to both candidates.

Must admit @CNN is doing an amazing job fair and balanced

These CNN moderators are honestly being a lot more fair than I expected. Credit where it’s due.

I agree. I have to say say I was also pleasantly surprised surprised.

CNN announced on Friday that the debate was their highest-rated program in network history with 48 million viewers.
