Two offensive linemen made their way to the UFL on Monday. Ethan Carde and Tyran Hunt were added to rosters, with the Houston Roughnecks and San Antonio Brahmas respectively.

OT Ethan Carde | Houston Roughnecks

The Houston Roughnecks have consistently been adding pieces to their offensive line, which makes quite a bit of sense. It was a position group that struggled in 2024, and new GM Will Lewis has brought in several new faces to improve this unit in 2025.

The newest of these is Ethan Carde, from Boise State. Ethan put himself on the map when he made his way to Texas Tech in 2020, making seven starts at left tackle that season. Over the next two years at Texas, Ethan was primarily a reserve player – but did make an impact when his name was called upon.

Carde transferred to Boise State for his final season. He played in all 13 games that year, making a few starts. This earned him a mini-camp opportunity with the Denver Broncos.

Now, Ethan Carde will look to kick start his professional career in the UFL, with the Houston Roughnecks.

OG Tyran Hunt | San Antonio Brahmas

Tyran Hunt signs with the Brahmas as someone who is familiar with this scene already. Hunt was with the Memphis Showboats in 2023, playing in three games that year. Tyran was a midseason addition to the squad, starting in the final three matchups in 2023. He posted some excellent grades, including an 87.3 Run Blocking grade across that span.

Hunt played his college football at Maryland and Old Dominion. It wasn’t until he got to Old Dominion that he really began to get into the starting lineup. Across his final two seasons, Tyran started in 21 of 24 games played.

Most recently, Hunt played in the Indoor Football League, with the Frisco Fighters. He earned All-IFL honors this season, playing at a high level. Clearly, General Manager Marc Lillibridge took notice – and now brings Tyran to Training Camp with the Brahmas.
