The Chicago Sky narrowly missing out on a playoff berth had significant consequences. Despite injuries being a major setback, head coach Teresa Weatherspoon paid a hefty price for the team’s underperformance. “I’m heartbroken. I’m literally lost for words knowing what this woman meant to me at such a pivotal point in my life,” said Reese in a statement, reacting to the Sky’s firing of Weatherspoon less than a year after hiring her. Looks like Reese has found a momentary distraction.

It was by attending the Baltimore Ravens game against the Buffalo Bills Sunday night. Luckily, she got to witness the firsthand destruction that took place. The “Chi-Town Barbie,” a Baltimore native, is a huge fan of the Ravens. After the game, when the Ravens secured a 35-10 blowout, Reese took to social media to shout out Derrick Henry, Lamar Jackson, and the rest of the flock.

But she wasn’t alone in flexing her Baltimore roots. Her brother Julian, who plays collegiate basketball for Maryland, joined her on the field, as seen in Reese’s social media pictures posted on her story. “. “BIG FLOCKKKK,” penned the 22-year-old Maryland native on her social media account after the conclusion of the game.

It was a huge win for Baltimore as they improved to 2-2 this season following upset losses to the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs in the first two weeks. They now move ahead to matchups against the Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Washington Commanders over the next three weeks. Undoubtedly, this was a game to be proud of for a Ravens fan.

For Reese, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

After a dominant start to the season, Angel Reese faced a significant setback toward the end when she suffered a left wrist injury after landing on her hand, resulting in a hairline fracture. To prevent “arthritis” at 22, she opted for surgery that cost her the last few games of the 2024 season and a playoff spot.

When her team needed her the most, she, along with her fellow trio members Kamilla Cardoso and Chennedy Carter, were sidelined due to injury. This left the Sky out of the playoff race when they were just one step away from claiming a spot. Since Reese was unable to contribute and battle alongside Clark for the Rookie of the Year title, her rookie season ended abruptly.

To make matters worse, her head coach, Teresa Weatherspoon, whom she had a strong bond with, was fired. Now, after a tough season, Reese is enjoying her first offseason, putting all setbacks aside. For her, the enjoyment comes from watching her hometown Ravens as they look to secure a big win over the Bills. Will she be there for the upcoming game? Stay tuned to find out!
