The Seahawks made official a move reported last week, announcing the signing of running back Ricky Person Jr. to their 90-man roster.

Person, who played collegiately at North Carolina State, has not played in an NFL game but was on the roster of the UFL Birmingham Dragons the past two years, including rushing for 297 yards and a league-leading six touchdowns in 2024 as Birmingham won the league title. He was also in camp with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2022 when new Seattle coach Mike Macdonald was the team’s defensive coordinator.

The Seahawks also announced they waived cornerback Ro Torrence, defensive end Rason Williams and running back TaMerik Williams. All three had signed with the Seahawks as undrafted free agents in May.

The moves leave the Seahawks with two openings on their 90-man roster.

Person, listed at 6 feet and 217 pounds, is one of six running backs on the roster with veterans Kenneth Walker III, Zach Charbonnet and Kenny McIntosh and rookie UDFA signees George Holani and Kobe Lewis.

The Seahawks completed their mandatory veteran minicamp June 12 and will return for training camp in late July. First-year players will report July 17 and veterans July 23.
