Kendlinger commits to Biola

Hancock College sophomore outfielder Tommy Kendlinger has committed to play baseball for NCAA Division 2 Biola.

“I chose Biola because I’ll have the opportunity to grow my faith while getting a quality education and playing competitive baseball,” Kendlinger said in a Hancock news release.

“They are also in a quality conference, and I’ll be able to continue challenging myself as a player.”

Kendlinger played two seasons for Hancock. He earned a spot on the All-Western State Conference North Division Second Team at the end of his sophomore year.

He had the team’s third-highest slugging percentage, .459, and batted .306 during that season. Kendlinger hit 11 doubles, three triples and three home runs.

Kendlinger racked up 188 putouts and 10 assists during his time at Hancock.

“My time at Hancock taught me how to work hard and grind,” Kendlinger said in the Hancock news release. “I learned a lot from coach (Chris) Stevens and my teammates about what it takes to prepare in order to have success and perform well in all areas of life.”
