FBI Director Christopher Wray, while testifying before the Republican-led House judiciary committee on Wednesday (July 24), said that the United States is in an “elevated threat environment” in the wake of the July 13 assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump. 

In other news, German government on Wednesday (July 24) officially banned the Hamburg-based Islamic Center Hamburg (IZH) and its affiliated sub-organisations after accusing the group of promoting the Iranian leadership’s ideology and supporting Lebanon’s Hezbollah militant group.
